Engaging Philanthropy in the Post-2015 Development Agenda: Lessons Learned and Ways Forward
Since its inception in July 2014, the Post-2015 Partnership Platform for Philanthropy has created vital linkages between the philanthropy sector, the United Nations, and some governments. The platform leverages stakeholder strengths to contribute to achieving and localizing the SDGs. Key successes include establishing a unified track for philanthropy engagement with the UN-led SDG process, creating a global knowledge base on philanthropy’s role in development, and developing a data repository on philanthropic giving.
