The Index of Global Philanthropy and Remittances: With a Special Report on Emerging Economies
The Center for Global Prosperity (CGP) at Hudson Institute presents the 2013 Index of Global Philanthropy and Remittances, its eighth edition, documenting growth in philanthropy, remittances and private investment worldwide. The report demonstrates how private financial flows have surpassed government aid and shows new forms of giving redefining foreign assistance. Through partnerships with philanthropic institutions in Brazil, China, India, and South Africa, CGP measured these countries’ government aid, philanthropy, remittances and private investment to developing countries, combined with eight years of data from developed nations to present a complete picture of total economic engagement with the developing world.
